Renewable energy systems
Why Renewables?
We clearly understand that individuals choose renewable energy systems for a number of reasons, both economic and environmental.
We always endevour to match our systems to our customers needs and beliefs.
Environmental justifications
The simplest way of reducing the impact of our lives on the environment is to reduce our consumption of fossil fuels.
The simplest ways of achieving this have an effect on the quality of lives, such as living in a colder house or using less hot water.
Our own preference is to achieve the same level of comfort but using our energy in more sensible ways.
It has to be remembered that the easiest way to lower energy consumption in a property is often to increase the level of insulation, we strongly believe this should be the first action in any improvement program.
Economic justifications
It is often presumed that renewable energy systems will cost more to install and less to run than the more traditional alternatives.
This to some extent is often true, but not always. If we were to consider installation of a heating system into a new build property, consideration has to be given to the supply connections and even whether they are an option.
Gas needs a local supply and dendant on how far away this is, costs could be significant. Oil on the other hand needs a large storage tank and access for large delivery vehicles, not always an option for rural properties.
